Bowling
We met my family at the Bowling Alley today to see my brother who had flown into town for the weekend. My kids immediately tried to overtake their game so, we arranged to start our own. Kaeson ruled the bowling alley. He loved every single minute of it. It was amazing. He did pretty well.
Ok, now, you have to be super impressed. Kelty was awake and didn't want to be put down so I strapped him in the snugli and bowled the game. I did fairly well. What do you think the handicap is for bowling with a four month old strapped to your chest.
Hannah Montanna
We did it!! We took the girls out for a special girls night out. Leigh, Sherrie, Debbie and I took the girls out for a special Mommy Daughter Date. We headed off to Red Robin for dinner and then off to the Hannah Montana Concert Movie.
I know that you are thinking, oooh, how sweet. What a nice thing to do for the girls. Well, I think that the big girls had more fun that the little ones. Between posing with the cardboard cut out of Patrick Dempsey and learning how to effectively steal 3D glasses, we had a great old time. Now don't freak out..... we didn't really steal glasses. We had the 15 year olds who wash them teach us how to get them past the highly detailed security that might rival that at the airport. To boot, we all took our pictures with the legendary Hannah Montana as well. Well, at least her cut out.
The movie was in 3D which was a little disheartening to the girls with tiny heads. Kyra couldn't keep her glasses on to save her life. I think that her favorite part of the movie was that she was able to drink as much of my Diet Coke as she wanted.
All in all, what a great trip. We need to do this more often. I only hope that the girls had as much fun as we did.

Here Comes Trouble
This is what you get whe you leave Kyra and Kaeson along for a few minutes playing in his room. They watched a cartoon and decided to play out the scenario. They managed to muscle Kaeson's ladder off of his bunk bed. Kaeson found some tape and taped Kyra up and had her lay down on the ladder as though it was a piece of a rail road. I applaud the immagination however, the tape is now hidden in a much higher cabinet.

Valentines Day Boxes
Today we worked on Valentines Day boxes for the kiddos. I hope that all of you are extraordinarily impressed that I am not doing it the night before. I am actually on the ball with this one. Anyway, we went to the craft store to pick out the stuff for Kyra's box and Kaeson got excited and wanted to do one too. We are at the point that if we do something for one child, we have to do it for both. They were so excited and started off with such charisma. Kyra and I worked on hers and Harvey worked on Kaesey's with his. I lost Kyra after about 5 minutes because we discoved that Charlie Brown's Valentines Day Special was on. We are finished however and that in and of itself is a miracle.

Craft Day
What a crazy day this was. You should have seen my house when we were done with it all. The kids got very involved in about a dozen different crafts and games. We made goo, painted, did stamp art, snow painted, put on a puppet show, etc. Poor John must have been bored to tears but I think that the kids had fun. By the end of the day, everyone was covered in some sort of paint and glue. My kiddos were in bed by 8:00 and sound asleep. I was asleep by 8:10.
Soldier Hollow
Ok, for those of you who have been in Utah over the winter time, you have not lived until you have been to Soldier Hollow for their tubing experience. I am not a big person for the snow or sledding but this is awesome. The best part is that there is a tube lift that takes your tube to the top of the hill for you. You have to call in advance for tickets because they limit the amount of people on the mountain at a time. It is sooooo worth it though. We were really excited to take the kids up. We found out that if we all went in a big group and held all of the tubes really close together, we flew down the hill.
