BYU vs. UofU

The war has begun!!! Early Saturday morning I looked out my front window and saw a horrible sight. My house had been desecrated. It was terrible. A giant U had been painted on the lawn and there were "U"s on the windows. Who could have caused this great travisty. It was none other than those sneaky Banks. Bryan and Kara kept watch as Leigh and Lou tried in vain to sway the outcome of that glorious game. Later in the day, we all got together to watch the game. For more Y support, my brothers and dad came to cheer on the cougars. The Banks brought their friend, Jen, to help in their cause. What an awesome game. The pictures are worth a thousand words. During half time, Harvey and my brothers ran out to the Banks car to show them that revenge is sweet. We had a great time. I am looking forward to next year's game. WE LOVE YOU BANKS FAMILY!!!

Kyra and her dance company were in the Christmas parade. She has been looking forward to this for months and was so excited to go. Today she hopped in the car and pronouced "Today is the best day ever!!" She is such a cutie pie. The parade route was nearly two miles long and it was 27 degrees out. Harvey gave me a hard time because my friend Leigh and I stayed in the car with the heater on while the girls marched the parade in the cold weather. They seemed to be totally unaware of the weather. They had a great time. She walked every last step of the route like a champ. I was so proud of my little parade dancer!!

The Tree

After a long tiring day. We gathered the three kiddos up to decorate the tree. Kyra was dancing around singing her own renditions of Christmas carols. Her favorite is "Tinkerbell, Tinkerbell, Tinker all the way." Kaeson had fun until he stepped on a plastic reindeer oranament and cried the rest of the time. Kelty enjoyed the lights for about 5 minutes and joined Kaeson belting out "Cries of Joy." All in all. It was another fun and memorable family activity. We have just learned to give the kids naps before attempting a group activity.

Mommy's Little Model

As many of you know, I am absolutely obsessed with hats. I start my kiddos wearing them from day one. I have learned that if they start off wearing them, they will continue wearing them when they are older. He is Kelty modeling his first mommy hat.

Halloween

The kids had so much fun going to Grandma Shell's school for Halloween. They were so excited to march in the parade. Everyone wanted to give Kaeson a high fives. He was absolutely elated. The costume fit him perfectly both size and personality. Kyra, our eternal fairy, was the cutest in her modified fairy costume. Kelty, too small for a normal costume, fit right in with Grandma in the pumpkin patch.

Temple Square Visit

What do you get when you mix three cranky kiddos, two camera happy parents and a warm sunny October afternoon???? A "fun" family outing.

The warmth of the late Indian Summer Sunday afternoon gave me the itch to take a walk. Putting all cares aside I decided that instead of taking a tour of the neighborhood, we packed the kidlets up in the car and headed for Temple Square. Had I been thinking, I would have taken into consideration that the kids went to bed insanely late the night before, had not taken naps and only ate a meager lunch. Instead, the warm weather had warped my already tired brain into thinking that it would be an ideal time for a picture day.

A National Geographic photographer was once asked how he took such amazing pictures. He replied that no one saw the thousands that he threw out to get the one good picture. That would describe our Temple trip. I do think that we were able to get a couple of good shots in between the cries and tantrums.

Kelty Baby and his Halloween Costume

Seeing as Kelty is tiny, there are not many costumes that fit him. So, I bought him a cute pair of jammies. I am trying to get as much mileage out of them as I can. He wears them when we go out and about. As you can see, I am not sure how he feels about them.

So excited to announce the arrival of baby Kelton to the family. He joined us on October 9, 2007 at 4:22 p.m. He was by far the largest of the kiddos weighing in at 6 lbs 14 oz and 20 inches long. He is so mellow and is already sleeping through the night. He is learning how to survive in a household with a kindergarten sister and a preschool brother.
