Hi,

Ok, now I know that I a complainer at times but I have to admit that today was one of the worst possible mom days. Ready for the day's itinerary?

To start the day off right, the washing machine flooded again. I don't know what is going on there.

Kaeson had an accident in the tub and by the time I got it all cleaned up, the tub drain clogged.

I took a quick five minute shower and during that time, Kaeson stacked three boxes on top of each other to reach the diaper cream. In five minutes he was able to get it all over himself and anything that was near him,

Kyra had a play date scheduled today. Usually moms just drop off their little ones for a couple of hours. Kyra can spend this time playing and I can get stuff done around the house. Not this time. The mom decided to stay with all of her children for over an hour and a half.

Neither Kyra or Kaeson would take a nap.

Harvey got a call from the doctor saying that some of his blood screenings did not come back normal and that he would have to go back in for more tests.

After spending an hour and a half on a computer project for Harvey's scout event today, it would not burn onto a CD or DVD so, it was useless that I even tried it.

I was asked to attend the scout meeting tonight which I never go to because the kids are horrible. So, I went because it was a ward funciton.

By the time we got there, Kaeson was wet from head to toe. I have no idea why and I prefer not to know.

It was a buffet type dinner so, I went through the line with my two screaming children. Finally a friend came up and took Kaeson for a minute so that I could get all of our food. We get to the end of the line and Kyra drops her full plate on the floor because she was trying to get me to hold a baseball card and was not paying attention.

By this time I am ready to explode....I was counting to 100.

There were not enough seats at the tables so, I had to sit my kids down on the floor. Finally, a friend made some room at her table. Kaeson is screaming and Kyra is complaining.

I reach for my bottle water that I had purchased on my way to the scout meeting. I open it. An of course, to follow in the events of the day, the water exploded. It was carbonated. Can you believe that!!! The one time I go out of my way to buy bottle water and it is carbonated.

Anyway, I was wearing a white top and I was at the front of the group. I had to borrow a jacket and excuse myself. I nearly started to cry.

When I got home, there was a notice that Kyras Easy Bake Oven had been recalled and the replacement parts are back ordered. Of course......

Anyway, Hope that your day was better!!

In Love

I love the office. Actually, I LOVE the office. After spending the day at the hospital with my sister yesterday, I came home to my Tivo and was thrilled when I remembered that the office had recorded. AND.... it was an hour long special. I curled up on my couch (at 12:45 a.m.) and hit the play button. I have to tell you, I loved it. It brought back all of the warm fuzzy feelings of a first kiss and the twitterpated college affect. It was wonderful. I had to rewind the wedding scene several times. I think that I am going to keep this one the "Do Not Delete" list for quite some time.

My brother, Derek, turned me onto the British version of the office years ago. I really liked it and I bawled my head off during the series finale of that sitcom. I will say, that this wedding scene rivals it. I hope that you enjoyed it as much as I did. If you missed it, you can see the whole episode on www.nbc.com

Long Last Look at a One Year Old

Kelty is my last little one. He is growing up so fast. It seems like yesterday that he JOINED our little family. As much as I wishing that he would just stay TINY, I am so excited with all of his new milestones. I will say that I will miss not having a baby in the house any more. I now have a full on toddler. I have a tradition that I have to be the last one to say goodnight to my kiddos the night before their birthdays. I spent the day at the hospital with my sister and didn't get home until just before midnight so, I had to sneak into his room to say goodnight and take a quick pict. I love you TOAD!!!

Derek is a Married Man

My little brother, Derek, has finally taken the plunge and tied the knot. On October 2, 2009, he and his sweetheart, Jaclyn, were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. I can not tell you how excited I am for both of them.

Derek is only 13 months younger than I am and we have been good friends our entire lives. However, over the past 5 years or so, we have gotten to be even closer. I have really enjoyed talking to him during his engagement and learning the softer side of my body builder brother. Often times, he will call me on his way home from a date with Jaclyn just to talk. I can't even begin to tell you how much that has meant to me.

I am so glad that Derek has found such a wonderful companion. He has chosen someone that is intelligent and witty just like he is. They are amazingly good friends and perfect for each other. I wish you the best Derek and Jaclyn. I love you both very much and I could not be happier for you both. Jaclyn, Welcome to the family. Derek, you couldn't have made a better choice.

Scrunchy Face

Kelty has so many cute little faces. This one is my favorite. Doesn't he look like a little devil. Anyway, all you need to say is SMILE or SCRUNCHY FACE and this is what you will get. New Babies

Since I obviously am not having any more kiddos, I am having a great time visiting my cute friends that are having babies. It is funny that I no longer have that "baby hungry" attitude like I used to. It is probably because I know that it will never ever happen. However, what I am getting a touch of is mommy envy. There are so many cute things out there for kiddos now. The clothes, hair accessories, mommy accessories are all so chic and darling. Even the photography is so unique. I wish that they had had those things when my daughter was tiny.

Two of my great friends have just had baby girls and I love it. I have to show them off. I am going to be calling them a lot to be able to hold their little girls! Oh, and Kelty, he loves the babies. He can't get enough of them. Here are Emmy and her cutie Madisen and Kristin and her darling baby Alyse. Gotta love those darling brand new babies.

Yes, The Birthday Continues

Yes, I know that Kyra's birthday was in August. I was planning on having her party in August but we had so many things hit at once that we were not able to do it closer to her actual birth day. We had family in town, the beginning of school, and a lot of our weekends were already planned.

However, I didn't want her to not be able to have her party. So, in the grand scheme that is us, I simply extended her birthday a few weeks and finally had her friends party last week. Yes, it was a month after her real birthday but, it is the thought that counts.

She had a really simple party but, she loved it. We had a few of her friends come over for a pajama party. Thank heavens a couple of her friends have little brothers. They came as well and helped keep Bear and Toad entertained.

Everyone brought their pillow. We watched the Hannah Montana movie and ate pizza. The girls really enjoyed lounging around in their PJ's and having their version of a "sleep over."

Pretty Ballerina

I have been wanting to get Kyra into dance for quite some time now but, sometime life gets in the way. There has just been so much going on in my little life that I have a hard time keeping it all straight sometimes. But, I finally have her registered and suited up to go. Of course, we are doing it with her cute friend Kara. It makes it all the more fun for Kyra... and her mom too.

The Alpine Loop

I LOVE Autumn. I love the colors, the crisp air and the lovely scented oils that they sell at the Body Shop. I love it all. I was planning on driving up the canyon next weekend with my kiddos but, then heard that we are to expect snow mid week this week. So, making yet another rash decision, I grabbed my sister and we headed up through Park City and Heber and down to the loop. The kiddos loved every minute of it. They did fabulously well in the car and enjoyed the colors. I think their favorite part was stopping for shakes in Heber. Anyway, I got a couple of pictures. Hopefully we will get out to do some more before that wretched snow takes over and turns the valley into the North Pole

My Half Hour Project

I have decided to take a little bit of time every day to do a project that I want to do and not just need to do. I am hoping that this will help act as a stress relief in my little chaotic life.

Tonight, inspiration struck when I was folding laundry and saw this skirt that I used to like but, now it bothers me. It is a weird length and it has an elastic waistband. I don't do elastic waist bands. But, I like the pattern and the fact that it is jersey. I could instantly see it as a little skirt for Kyra. She has such a tiny little waist that nothing store bought really fits her well. I thought that this would be super cute. I guess we will see tomorrow when she tries it on.
