Birthday with the Griner's

My family came over for dinner and a birthday celebration on Sunday night. We have such a great time hanging out with my family. Having so many brothers and sisters, there is always someone to talk to and someone to do things with. The day started off very dreary, rainy and windy but, by the time the family got to the house, it had calmed down to the point that we could barbeque. We did have a small little kink with the propane tank being empty but, that was quickly remedied. We had a great little picnic in our ever improving backyard.

As far as gifts were concerned, my family nailed it. Derek and Jaclyn gave him a pair of light sabers. A PAIR! That was amazing that they realized that it would be more fun to spar someone with a second saber than with a wooden kitchen spoon. When my parents called Kaeson to ask what he wanted for his birthday, he replied that he wanted a stop sign. My mother soon got on the phone and asked me what was up with me that my child wants a life jacket for Christmas and a stop sign for his birthday. Regardless, mom and dad delivered and Kaeson got his stop sign accompanied by a crossing guard vest and a helmet/visor combo. He can't wait to cross the street now.

As part of his birthday he also got pajamas, shoes (which he loves and has been asking for) and a Sponge Bob DVD. They could not have planned better presents. Thank you for taking the time and effort into making his day special! We love you!
